Picasso’s theatre curtain “Parade” (1917) was hung the day before yesterday at Centre Pompidou Metz - and I was there.

it hasn’t been shown in France for over twenty years, because with a size of over 170m2 it was too big to fit into any museum space.

the piece is very fragile and so it took a whole day to unwrap, roll out and hang it up.
